Recent Progress of the Prototype Laser for Shenguang-III

Abstract

The prototype facility of Shenguang III laser fusion driver is an 8 beam-lines facility which has total output energy more than 10kJ/lns/3ω. It's the Technique Integration Experiments Lines (TIL) for Shenguang III. We demonstrated the main techniques used in TIL here, such as a new scheme of four-pass amplifiers, all-fiber front-end, compacted PEPC, et al. TIL will not only show emphasis on scientific usage, but also focus on engineering usage. It will provide essential parameters for engineering design of Shenguang III. By the end of year 2006, TIL has completed its construction and carried out the first round target-shooting experiments.
