Femtosecond Laser Micromachining in Ophthalmic Hydrogels: Micro-Raman Spectroscopy of Materials Effects

Abstract

A one-layer dense line pattern was inscribed into ophthalmic hydrogels using a 405 nm, 8.3 MHz laser. The local microstructural changes, especially the water content, were examined using confocal Raman spectroscopy.
