Abstract

We demonstrate automated initialization of tunable optical filters consisting of an initial feed-forward step followed by iterative feedback. Rapid convergence is demonstrated on high-order all-pass-filter (APF) structures in a silicon-nitride photonic integrated circuit (PIC).
