Metasurface-integrated Fully CMOS-compatible Phase Gradient Photodetector

Abstract

Here we present a fully CMOS compatible photodetector with embedded plasmonic metasurfaces capable of detecting a local phase gradient. This device could form the basis of novel wavefront sensing systems for imaging, communications and astronomy.
