Ultrasonic Guiding and Steering of Light in Scattering Tissue

Abstract

We present a novel technique for guiding and steering photons in multiply scattering brain tissue by using ultrasound waves to sculpt refractive index contrast profiles that define and control the trajectory of light within tissue.
