Abstract
We report high conversion efficiency, high peak power tunable Raman solitons generated in a Tm-doped fiber amplifier. The Raman solitons possess 80% of the pulse energy and have wavelength tunable range from 2.05 μm to 2.25 μm. 166-fs soliton pulses are obtained at wavelength of 2.25 μm with an average power of 970 mW, corresponding to a peak power of 140 kW.
