Abstract

Real-time absolute group refractive index of air at 1545 nm is measured using frequency comb calibrated frequency-sweeping interferometry by recording the calibration peaks and interference signal simultaneously. For ambient air, a combined uncertainty of 8.6×10−8 is achieved.
