Sub-Picosecond Auger-Mediated Hole Trapping Dynamics in CdSe/CdS Core/Shell Colloidal Semiconductor Nanoplatelets

Abstract

The ultrafast carrier dynamics of CdSe/CdS core/shell colloidal nanoplatelets are investigated using femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy. We observed electron cooling, as well as Auger-mediated hole trapping and concomitant Auger heating on sub-picosecond timescales.
