Abstract

We demonstrate efficient generation of bandwidth-tunable ultrafast mid-infrared laser pulses at 5 µm in a dual-chirped optical parametric amplification scheme based on ZnGeP2 crystals using material dispersion to introduce chirp, resulting in low optical loss.
