On-chip Fourier Transform Spectrometer for Chemical Sensing Applications

Abstract

This paper reports an on-chip Fourier transform spectrometer (FTS) which exploits a tunable Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) by taking advantage of the thermo-optic effect to achieve a high resolution of at least 40 cm−1.
