Unibody, Compact, and Lightweight Q-switched Lasers Enabled by Additive Manufacturing

Abstract

This paper demonstrates additive manufacturing scheme to fabricate a compact and unibody solid-state lasers. Cellular structures, embedded cooling channels, flexure alignment structures were used to produce robust and lightweight Q-switched YAG lasers.
