Integrated Fabry-Perot/Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor for Simultaneous Measurement

Abstract

An all-fiber sensor for simultaneous measurements is demonstrated. Fiber Bragg grating (FBG) inside the core of all solid photonic band gap fiber (ASPBGF) was connected to FPI micro cavity for simultaneously measure load and temperature with sensitivities 4.07nm/N and 13.7pm/°C respectively.
