Achromatic polarization rotator imprinted in glass by ultrafast laser nanostructuring

Abstract

We demonstrate an achromatic polarization rotator imprinted by femtosecond laser nanostructuring in silica glass. The broadband 600-1500nm operation is achieved by replicating the structure of twisted nematic liquid crystal.
