Abstract

Er3+-TeO2 thin film photonics crystals (PhCs) demonstrates anisotropic photoluminescence (PL) emission. By tuning the PhC periodicity, surface extraction mode or waveguide propagation mode can be selected which provides flexible on-chip light source.
