Monolithic Beam Steering Device employing Slow-light Waveguide and Tunable MEMS VCSEL

Abstract

We propose a monolithic beam steering device consisting of Bragg reflector slow-light waveguide amplifier and tunable micro-electro-mechanical VCSEL. Continuous beam steering of over 30° and the maximum output power over 10 mW are predicted.
