Laser-Based Synthesis of Nanomaterials in the Solid State

Abstract

Lasers are used to synthesize novel nanomaterials in the solid state such as epitaxial graphene on SiC and Si nanoparticles in an SiO2 matrix. I will discuss advantages and future directions of these approaches.
