Ultra-broadband, Efficient and Unidirectional Random-Nanoslits Coupler for Metal-Insulator-Metal Plasmons

Abstract

A novel type of compact and unidirectional optical coupler composed of random nanoslits is proposed for metal-insulator-metal plasmons with coupling efficiency more than 40% over an ultra-broad spectral range from 1260nm to 1675nm.
