Comparative ultrafast laser source study for advanced materials processing

Abstract

We have realized high-power mJ-range Yb:YAG-based thin-disk regenerative amplifiers of different pulse duration from 850fs to 30ps. These sources have been used for a comparative study of material ablation and the various results are presented.
