Abstract

A 2-m VCSEL based optical wireless communication system is proposed with 1.13-GHz modulation bandwidth for both line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight uplinks. The system achieves a data rate as high as 6.25 Gbps utilizing convolutional coded OFDM.
