Angular Random Walk Improvement of Resonant Fiber Optic Gyroscopes

Abstract

An angular random walk of 0.0021°/√h is experimentally demonstrated over a resonant fiber optic gyroscope employing a semiconductor laser as the light source and a 29 m-long fiber ring resonator as the rotation-rate sensing element.
