Digital Chromatic Dispersion Pre-compensation Using a Quasi-Linear Double-Side Electro-Absorption Modulated Laser (DS-EML)

Abstract

A quasi-linear transmitter is proposed based on the double-side electro-absorption modulated laser (DS-EML). Using the proposed transmitter, 112 Gb/s chromatic dispersion (CD) pre-compensation PAM4 signal transmission over 320 km has been realized by simulation.
