A PDM-Based 168 Gb/s VSB-PAM8 Fiber-FSO Integration

Abstract

A PDM-based VSB-PAM8 fiber-FSO integration is demonstrated. Combining PDM scenario with PAM8 modulation, the transmission capacity of fiber-FSO integration is considerably increased with a total capacity of 168 Gb/s (84 Gb/s PAM8/polarization x 2 polarizations).
