Diameter Measurement of Optical Nanofibers by Using a Commercial and Standardized Ruled Grating

Abstract

A precise and in-situ measurement of diameter of optical nanofibers (ONFs) is presented. Mounting a commercial micronscale-period ruled grating on ONF forms a high-order Bragg reflector, making possible convenient diagnosis of the ONF diameter.
