Enhanced coincidence between two independent heralded single-photons using a fiber-optic single-photon buffer

Abstract

We report on the all-fiber single-photon buffer for long-distance quantum communications. The coincidence between single photons generated by two independent heralded single-photon sources was successfully enhanced without degrading the polarization- entanglement.
