Full C+L-Band, Mode-hop-free Wavelength Tunable Laser Diode with a Linewidth of 8 kHz and a RIN of −130 dB/Hz

Abstract

We demonstrate a wavelength tunable laser diode with a linewidth of less than 8 kHz and a RIN below −130 dB/Hz. The oscillation wavelength can be tuned over the full C+L-band (90-nm) without mode hopping.
