Integration of photonic crystal and magnetic bead aggregation technique for fluorescence enhancement

Abstract

We combine photonic crystal and magnetic beads aggregation enhanced fluorescence for extremely sensitive detection of biomolecules in bead-based assay format. The limit of detection for Interleukin 1β can achieve 100 ag/ml.
