Self-Focusing Suppression in Ultrahigh-Intensity Lasers

Abstract

We experimentally confirmed that free space run acts as a spatial filter and drastically suppresses small-scale self-focusing in laser beam with intensity order of TW/cm2. The measurements were done by two independent techniques.
