Abstract

We report our recent progress on mid-infrared germanium photonic integrated circuits. Specifically, a suspended-membrane waveguide, focusing subwavelength grating coupler, microring resonator, and photonic crystal nanocavities are demonstrated based on a germanium-on-insulator wafer.
