Narrow-linewidth Lasing and Kerr Soliton Comb with a Regular Laser Diode

Abstract

We demonstrate single-frequency lasing with ultra-narrow linewidth and coherent soliton comb generation from a regular multi-frequency Fabry-Perot laser diode to self-injection locked to an optical crystalline high-Q microresonator.
