Abstract

An Er:fiber-based femtosecond laser employing nonlinear amplifier loop mirror (NALM) and nonlinear polarization evolution (NPE) mode-locking mechanisms is demonstrate. The hybrid laser combines advantages of good robustness of NALM and low noise feature of NPE.
