Generation of 408 fs Dark soliton pulse in a mode-locked ytterbium-doped fiber laser

Abstract

We realized, to the best of our knowledge, the shortest dark soliton pulse duration which is 408fs in a Yb-doped mode-locked fiber laser. The laser was centered at 1038 nm with a 9 nm bandwidth.
