A nano-fiber coupler thermometer

Abstract

Optical fiber couplers with ~300nm waist diameter are used as compact temperature sensors from room temperature to 661°C, showing an average temperature sensitivity of 55 pm/°C and a maximum sensitivity of 60pm/ °C at the highest temperature.
