Pulse-spacing manipulation in a passively mode-locked fiber laser

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate a precise and flexible pulse-spacing manipulation in a few-pulse passively mode-locked fiber laser by both intracavity and extracavity methods. A tuning range of pulse spacing up to 1.5 ns is obtained.
