Abstract

An optical nanocircuit model is proposed to quantitatively and fundamentally understand the coupling mechanism in bilayered self-complementary metamaterial (BSCM) consisting of an array of nanodisks and its complements. Numerical simulations verify the validity of this model in complex structures.
