Abstract
We propose a novel scheme of digital micro-photonic logic function based on the electro-optic (EO) effect in photonic ring resonator. In this paper, the NAND logic function is demonstrated. The Logic operation is justified by optical spectrum as well as timing diagrams. A 10 Gbps NRZ PRBS signal is used to justify the logic function. Simulation results proof that the design can be a potential solution for the micro-photonic logic gates. The proposed logic gate can be the basic gate to build micro-photonic digital building blocks for photonic computer and communications.
