The effects of two photon coherence on the four-wave mixing spectrum in a ladder-type atomic system

Abstract

We report the analysis of four-wave mixing spectrum in terms of two-photon coherence in a ladder-type atomic system of the 5S1/2 - 5P3/2 - 5D5/2 transition of 87Rb atom. This spectroscopy is potentially useful for the effective way to generate a correlated photon pair from an atomic ensemble.
