FM-mode-locked fiber laser operating at 2.9 μm

Abstract

Frequency modulation mode locking of a Ho3+, Pr3+-co-doped fluoride fiber laser is demonstrated. Pulses are produced at 20 MHz with a pulse width of 5 ps, at 2.9 μm.
