Abstract

A compact 635nm laser diode (LD) module has been developed with a staircase architecture and multi-LD packages for laser projection. This module allows it to couple the light into a single fiber with 600µm diameter, numerical Aperture (NA) 0.22. Optical output power of 5.1W and optical to optical efficienciey of more than 80% were demonstrated.
