First stellar photons through an integrated photonic pupil remapping interferometer

Abstract

Integrated photonics offer numerous advantages for developing high dynamic range stellar interferometers for exoplanetary science. We report on the results from the first successful on-telescope tests of an integrated photonic pupil remapping interferometer.
