Multi-wavelength Interferometry based on the Frequency Comb of a Femtosecond Laser

Abstract

The optical frequency generator built using the optcal comb of a femtosecond laser enables absolute distance measurements with sub-wavelength precision by performing multi-wavelength interferometry. This method will benefit precise manufature of large objects and also future space missions.
