Generation of Sub-10fs Pulses with Repetition Rate of 1.1 GHz from Ti: Sapphire Oscillator

Abstract

We demonstrate a compact Ti:sapphire oscillator with ring cavity configuration. By optimizing the intra-cavity dispersion with chirped mirrors and wedges, pulses with repetition rate of 1.1GHz and duration of 9.5fs are obtained.
