Pulse Contrast Enhancement by Use of Nonlinear Polarization Rotation in Single-mode Fibers

Abstract

An all-fiber optical pulse cleaner operating at 1053nm is demonstrated based on nonlinear polarization rotation. The pulse contrast can be enhanced by more than four orders of magnitude.
