Plasma Temperature Sensor of Active Medium in a Radio-Frequency-Discharge-Excited CO2 Laser

Abstract

A method of plasma temperature measurement in a radio-frequency-discharge-excited CO2 laser using a 1.5 μm distributed-feedback laser was successfully demonstrated. Medium temperatures were measured to be from 450 to 650 K±3K.
