Abstract

Recently, spontaneous symmetry breaking of atom population is observed in parametrically driven magneto-optical trap system. We study the SSB theoretically by changing of variable in rotating frame and simplifying the interaction between atoms. We simulate the system varying interaction strength and diffusion constant, then compare with the experimental results.
