Abstract
When an ultra-short laser pulse with intensity of 2-3xl018 W/cm2, is focused on a 13 µm Mylar target, a proton beam with a maximum energy of 1.1 MeV is generated. This maximum energy is about 3 times higher than those obtained from aluminum targets and theoretical estimations.
