Abstract

The characteristics of laser beam by the compensation of thermal lensing effect in a fiber-coupled laser-diode ceramic Nd:YAG laser was investigated. Using a compensator, the divergence and M2 of the output beam at the pump power of 12 W were 2.4 and 5.5 mrad, respectively. The high frequency ingredients at the compensated laser beam were removed.
