Abstract
A liquid-cooled ceramic Nd:Cr:YAG split-disk laser amplifier have been designed and demonstrated for high-average-power laser system. The maximum small-signal gain of 2.27 and the stored energy of 11.4J were obtained. The Nd:Cr:YAG showed 1.3 fold amplification efficiency than Nd:YAG.
