Abstract

We have investigated nonequilibrium stochastic properties of trapped cold atoms in MOT. In particular, the transient phenomena of atomic population near the unstable state has been observed. Relevant asymptotic behavior of relaxation rate has been quantitatively measured and anomalous fluctuation qualitatively discussed.
