Abstract

We propose a novel design in PCFs with ultra-flattened dispersion characteristics controllability taking non-uniform air-hole structures in innermost rings. As an example, the proposed PCF with flattened dispersion of ±0.27 ps/(km.nm) from 1.5 µm to 1.8 µm wavelength with confinement losses of less than 10−11dB/m.
