Study on polarization properties of high-density gratings for optical information processing

Abstract

Diffraction efficiencies are calculated using rigorous coupled-wave analysis for different density gratings, which help to design high-efficiency gratings and polarizing beam splitters. The physical mechanism of polarization properties is analyzed by a two-beam interference of excited modes.
